Whilst the main attention will be focused on the Premier League title decider between Everton and Arsenal at Widnes on Sunday, two other leagues will have a similar match to solve the destiny of their respecive Championships on the same day. The North East League has been a closely fought race from the start and this has gone to the wire with the final day of fixtures producing a showdown between the top two teams in the Premier Division table. Darlington RA will play host to Sheffield FC and the winners will be guaranteed the title and promotion to the Northern Combination. Darlington go into the match with a two point lead over their rivals, meaning that nothing less than a win will do for Sheffield. The race is even more open at the top of the Hampshire County Women's League and, with one match left to play, three teams still have vested interest. Portsmouth University, fresh from winning the Invitation Cup by beating Salisbury City 2-0 in the Final on Wednesday night, take on Basingstoke Town and, once again, the title will go the way of the winners on the day. However, should the match finish in a draw, current league leaders Andover New Street will be crowned as Champions instead.
