Everton drew level on points with Arsenal once again at the top of the National Division as they won 3-0 away to Nottingham Forest.
The first half ended goalless but the Toffees made the vital breakthrough nine minutes after the restart with a goal from Natasha Dowie. Late goals from Toni Duggan and Dowie wrapped up the points from Everton who can go top of the table by avoiding defeat against Doncaster Rovers Belles on Wednesday night, four days before the title decider with leaders Arsenal.
Chelsea concluded their best ever season in the league with a 4-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers. Lianne Sanderson gave the Blues the lead midway through the first half and they went on to add further goals after the break through Emma Whitter, Georgie Giddings and Dunia Susi.
Doncaster Rovers Belles claimed the point they needed to make sure of finishing in fourth but they needed to withstand a fightback from Birmingham City in their 2-2 draw. Vicky Exley and Rachel Williams put the Belles two ahead inside the opening 12 minutes but the Blues hit back strongly in the second half with goals from Heather Scheuber and Naomi Morris.
