It has been announced today that two clubs in the south of England will form an alliance to secure the future of ladies football. WFC Fulham and Denham United LFC wish to confirm that both clubs are in agreement to amalgamate. Both club committees announced they have given the green light for the merger between the rivals. Both clubs will work together for mutual benefit. The merger has been described as very exciting, aimed primarily at bringing about a closer liaison between the training and coaching staffs of both clubs with regard to the development of young players. This will allow younger (aged 8-16) and less experienced players' time to gain team experience with Denham Utd whilst knowing that there is a ready laid path to top flight football with WFC Fulham. Both clubs have been successful in providing women's football for many years so hopefully they can continue to provide women's football for the betterment of the community. The clubs are in agreement that they need to develop and provide facilities for football players at the youth level. The committees from both clubs have worked hard, towards this one common goal. The merger committees are excited about the opportunity to finally create an organisation that is based on community pride. Both clubs agree that they have created a lot of work for themselves, but in the end, the move will greatly benefit the young women and parents of the community. Further information will be provided during the next few weeks in respect of pre-season training/trials to be held at Raynes Park in Morden, Surrey and Hillingdon Athletic Centre including Denham United Ladies 'own' training / football ground in Uxbridge.
