![]() Since joining the Belles from Leicester City in the summer, Rachel has been at the heart of the team's impressive performances this season and her displays in February were no exception. After impressing with the England Under-23 team at the start of the month, she returned to the Belles in style with two outstanding performances in the league draw against WFC Fulham and the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup Final defeat to Arsenal, in which her display earned a number of rave reviews. As the Belles second highest scorer, her goals from midfield have helped the Belles to fifth spot in the FA Tesco Women's Premier League and her exciting displays recently won her a call up to the full England senior squad. Whilst presenting Rachel with her award Hope Powell, England Women's Head Coach, commented: "Rachel has done really well this year and performed at a high level demonstrating her attacking ability from midfield. She has done incredibly well as she continues to work hard at her game. "She thoroughly deserves this award and I am looking forward to watching her in the remaining games of the season." Peter Hough, Chairman of the FA Tesco Women's Premier League, added: "Rachel Williams has been in fantastic form since joining Doncaster Rovers Belles. She is a real talent and her performance in the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup Final was fantastic. She poses a constant threat from midfield and has a great eye for goal. "Her outstanding form has been recognised by her recent inclusion in the England senior squad and we are all excited for her future."
