Millwall Lionesses raced into second place in the Southern Division by winning 4-1 at Colchester Utd. Ann Marie Heatherson scored her second hat-trick in five days with Charlotte Gurr also on target, the home side replying through Hannah Porter. A win would have taken West Ham Utd joint top but they were held to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace. Zoe Marshall gave the Hammers a second half lead, before Jade McDermott struck to earn Palace a precious point. Portsmouth meanwhile got back to winning ways as first half goals from Zoe Nash (2) and Lisa Langrish gave them a 3-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion. In the Northern Division, Leicester City went third with a 4-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Hannah Smith gave them a 22nd minute lead with Natasha Meade hitting a long range strike for the second. After the break, Hollie Barker pulled one back for Wednesday and the same player came close to levelling the scores. Courtney Sweetman-Kirk increased Leicester's lead on the hour and captain Remi Allen completed the scoring with four minutes remaining.
