Nottingham Forest gave their National Division survival hopes a shot in the arm with a crucial
2-1 victory away to Liverpool.
Beth Bailey and Natalie Staneff both struck in the first half to earn the points for Forest and, although Caroline Charlton scored a late consolation for Liverpool, Forest now trail the Reds - who are outside the bottom two - by five points but have three games in hand.
WFC Fulham remain at the foot of the table but picked up an important point as they shared a goalless draw with Doncaster Rovers Belles. Indeed Fulham nearly claimed a win but Ashlee Hincks' late effort struck the post, therefore the Whites are seven points from safety but have also played three matches less.
Birmingham City meanwhile leapfrogged Watford into fifth place by beating them 2-1 at Letchworth. Annie Barrett had given Watford the lead shortly before half time but after the break, the Blues hit back with Jemma Iommi levelling the scores and Heather Scheuber scoring the winner with three minutes remaining.
