OOH Lincoln moved into the quarter finals of the F.A.Women's Cup with a 3-1 victory over National Division opponents Nottingham Forest. In the battle between the two teams reinstated into the competition, it was Lincoln who took a 16th minute lead through Sophie Barker with Jodie Michalska adding a second just before half time. Andi Bell gave Forest renewed hope by pulling a goal back but Mel Cook sealed the win for Lincoln, semi finalists last season, by netting their third goal on the hour. Arsenal eased in to the last eight but needed to be patient in their 4-0 win away to Middlesbrough. The Northern Combination side were far from disgraced and indeed kept the scoreline goalless until half time, before a second half double from Helen Lander spearheaded the Gunners victory with further goals from Kim Little and Karen Carney. Everton also notched up a 4-0 victory on their travels to Manchester City. The Toffees were also made to work hard for the opening goal, breaking the deadlock shortly before half time through Jill Scott. Toni Duggan added a second after the break before Michelle Evans crowned the win with a late double. Sunderland produced a powerful performance to beat Barnet 5-0 and reach the quarter finals for the first time. Kelly McDougall finished off a good move to give the Wearsiders a fifteenth minute lead and Lucy Bronze hit the bar as they sought a second before half time. Natalie Gutteridge headed in the second early in the second half and Sophie Williams then scored from an acute angle. Jordan Nobbs, who had earlier cleared a Barnet effort off the line, netted the fourth after Sarah Danby's header had been saved and Nicola Devine rounded off the scoring with four minutes remaining.
