Unique access to the skills and drills of a specialist coaching session are just some of the benefits of a forthcoming free In-Service Event open to male and female coaches at Leyton Orient Football Club's S.C.O.R.E. Centre on Thursday 22nd January between 7pm and 9.30pm.
Coaches of both genders, including teachers working in girls' and women's football, are invited to attend the event which will comprise an introduction to the Football Association's Girls' Centre of Excellence Programme as well the rare chance to observe a practical demonstration with the Centre's Under-10 players and their coaches.
The evening is designed to assist coaches in picking up new ideas when coaching younger children as well as having the chance to view some of the most talented young players in the County and share ideas with other like minded club coaches and teachers.
Sharon Brownlie, Essex County Football Association Girls' & Women's Football Development Officer for the London Boroughs, is looking forward to a worthwhile event, commenting: "Hopefully those who take part will learn more about the F.A. Female Player Pathway as well as getting additional information on how to identify gifted and talented female players. It's our second event of this kind but it's not often that the opportunity arises for coaches to experience life at a Girls' Centre of Excellence. I hope it proves to be a useful session which we can arrange more of in the future."
Bookings can be lodged by completing the Booking Form available at www.essexfa.com and return it to Sharon along with a £5 deposit, which will be returned on the night. Sharon can be contacted at The County Office, Springfield Lyons Approach, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 5LB, by telephone on (01245) 393074 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
