![]() With six teams signed up to take part in the league which started back in September, this league promised to offer a fun safe environment for Under-11 girls to take part in matches on a weekly basis. The girls showed enthusiasm and commitment, turning up for their matches in various weather conditions, but always playing with a smile on their face. Last Monday saw the first 12-week block conclude and Peckham Town Under-11s were crowned Champions, which was well deserved with some impressive scorelines at times. There was a battle for second place, and eventually Camelot Primary School came in as runners-up. Kimberly Gilliland, London FA Community Sports Coach, says: "It was great to see how the girls developed over the course of the league. It is great to be able to provide these young players with an opportunity to play competitive football, many for the first time." The league will start up again on January 19th and will run for ten weeks at Brimmington Park from 5pm-7pm. If you have a team that may be interested in joining or know someone that may, then please contact Emma Barnes at emma.barnes@londonfa.com or (07921) 050375.
