Charlton Athletic extended their lead at the head of the Southern Division to six points after they defeated West Ham Utd 1-0 in their top of the table clash.
The only goal of the game came in the 36th minute as Kimberley Dixson's pass released Gemma Bryan to score.
Cardiff City moved up into second position, their highest of the season to date, with a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. Lauren Harries opened the scoring for the South Wales side with Sophie Ingle wrapping up the points.
Portsmouth remain well in contention after they scored six without reply away to Ipswich Town. Cassie Thorp and Lisa Langrish netted goals within a minute around the half hour mark and Gemma Ritchie added a third before half time. Kirsty McGee extended the lead early in the second half before Leeta Rutherford netted the other two goals, one from the penalty spot.
Barnet are beginning to climb the table once again and their 5-2 win against Crystal Palace has taken them into fifth place. Stacey Sowden and Holly Sandow each netted twice for the Bees with Claire Thomas also on target, while Palace replied through Claire Williams and Beth Curtis.
