Everton have gone top of the Premier League for the first time this season following their 4-2 victory over Birmingham City. Becky Hall put the Blues ahead after two minutes but Everton turned the game around by the 20th minute with a double from in-form striker Natasha Dowie. Emily Westwood added a third before half time with Toni Duggan further increasing Everton's lead after the break before Amy McCann netted a consolation for Birmingham. WFC Fulham meanwhile picked up a precious point as they shared a 1-1 draw with Bristol Academy, the third time the sides have finished level this season. Academy took a fifth minute lead through leading scorer Stef Curtis but Fulham equalised ten minutes before half time with a superb 35-yard strike from Gemma Fraser. After the break, Fulham held out under severe Academy pressure, the home side winning a total of 20 corners during the match, and goalkeeper Kelly Cooper was their hero when saving a penalty from Justine Lorton.
