England reached the quarter finals of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup but missed out on top spot in their group as South Korea defeated them 3-0 in their final game in Auckland.
Lois Fidler's team conceded their first goal of the competition after just eight minutes, with Ji So Yun wriggling into space at the edge of the area and angling a right foot shot just inside the far post.
Eight minutes later and it was 2-0 as Koh Kyung Yeon sneaked in ahead of her marker to head powerfully home from a Lee Hyung Young corner.
A two-goal victory would be enough to see Korea top the table on goals scored over England, but they made sure of pole position with a third goal midway through the second half from Ari Song.
England will therefore face Japan in the quarter finals on Sunday in Hamilton, while South Korea will take on the USA.
