Coventry City Ladies welcomed the manager and coach of their male counterparts as Chris Coleman and Steve Kean took charge of a midweek training session.
The former Welsh international and his assistant hosted sessions with every age group - from the under-10s through to the senior first team.
After the Sky Blues' 3-1 defeat at home to Burnley the previous evening, Coleman and Kean were buoyed by the change of pace. "Tuesday was a difficult night for us and to come here this evening and see the enthusiasm of everyone involved has really put a smile back on our faces. I've personally been impressed with the set up here and the intensity of the girls - they've really concentrated and bought into what we've been teaching," said Coleman.
Ladies first team manager Paul Cudby was pleased with his players' response to the sessions. "They worked very hard and enjoyed the session," he said. "Both myself and the rest of the coaching staff also took a lot of positives away from the experience. Chris and Steve are at the top of their profession and to give up their time and energy in the manner they have tonight has been tremendous."
Captain Natasha Lynch said the sessions helped the ladies team in the run up to their next match: "It's been really interesting to see how a professional men's team practice. We had to be switched on and 100 per cent focused."
