Southern Division leaders Charlton Athletic received a setback as they were beaten 3-0 by Portsmouth.
The Addicks were never able to recover after conceding an own goal in the opening six minutes and Cassie Thorp added a second ten minutes later. Lauren Murphy rounded off the win in the second half which takes Pompey into third place, eight points behind Charlton but with three games in hand.
West Ham Utd reduced the gap on Charlton to five points, thanks to an impressive 3-0 win away to Cardiff City. Again it was an own goal, from Charlotte Miller, which gave the Hammers an early lead before Sam Pittuck kept up her superb recent form by scoring in each half.
Millwall Lionesses got back to winning ways and their 3-0 victory over Colchester Utd takes them up into fourth. Charlotte Gurr gave Millwall a first half lead and Dionne Lennon added a second midway through the second half, before Victoria Boardman wrapped up the points five minutes from time.
Barnet ran out 5-1 winners at Truro City, who remain rooted to the bottom. Holly Sandow and Stacey Sowden gave the Bees a two-goal lead inside the opening half hour, with Dani Barr pulling one back for Truro before half time. Sandow scored her second ten minutes into the second half, Davina Smith then extended their lead and Miranda Hall completed the scoring in injury time.
Crystal Palace are out of the bottom two following their 3-0 success away to Ipswich Town.
