Scotland must wait and see if they have booked their place in the Second Qualifying Phase of the UEFA Under-17 Championships after they finished as runners-up in their First Round group in Minsk. Scotland got off to a great start with a 5-0 victory over Israel in their opening match. Rebecca Zoltie and Sarah Ewens gave the Scots a two-goal lead inside the opening half hour and Lauren McMurchie added a third before half time. Two second half strikes from Emma Mitchell rounded off a successful opening fixture and put them on top of the group. This was followed by a 1-0 victory against hosts Belarus, Eilish McSorley scoring the only goal of the game in the 18th minute. However a 2-0 defeat in their final game left opponents Switzerland as group winners and Scotland - like England - waiting to see if they will be one of the six runners-up to progress to the next phase.
