Arsenal manager Vic Akers is looking for improvement from his team despite their crushing 7-2 victory over FC Zurich Frauen in their opening UEFA Women's Cup qualifying group match.
"The result was good, but it could have been that much better," he said after the game. "I think, in this competition, you've really got to put the opposition to bed when you have the opportunity and we had more than the opportunity to kill this team off early doors. To concede two goals to them was disappointing, you can't concede goals to these sorts of teams.
"We're expecting to come out as group winners and to we need to give ourselves the opportunity to do that. We said before the game that when you're playing in this competition you've got to make sure that you have a great start and, with respect, to play Zurich tonight and to come out 7-2, well that's not a great start.
"Zurich were unorthodox, they were in our faces and we got dragged to their level to a certain extent which is disappointing. We didn't play the game the way should have been played. We should have had a more measured game, more relaxed, passed the ball better.
"We may have given ourselves the hardest job to do now. If we finish second, and things go as they should in the other groups, then we play Umea (in the quarter finals) and if we win it then we possibly play the Italians. Out of the two, we want the Italians."
Vic did however reserve some praise for Kim Little, who marked her European debut for the Gunners by scoring a hat-trick. "I thought Kim Little was one of the best players tonight," he said. "She kept competing and trying to do the right things and I can't ask for her to do much more than that. It was great for her to get a hat-trick in Europe and obviously it's also good for Gemma (Davison) to get a European goal too. Maybe Gemma should have got a few more goals however.
"The overall performance was poor however, and I hope that the girls look on the result in the same way that I do, in that it wasn't good enough tonight if we want to finish top of the group."
