Tickets are now on sale for Doncaster Rovers Festival of Football on Sunday 12th October. Rovers are set to play a Doncaster Rovers Legends team in a bid to raise funds for Doncaster Rovers Belles, who are currently enduring serious financial difficulties. Heroes of the Rovers past are attending the Keepmoat Stadium prior to the Belles' Premier League clash against Birmingham City, to do battle with Sean O'Driscoll's Championship Rovers side of today. The Legends, managed by former Rovers boss Ian Snodin, will include players such as Francis Tierney, Dave Morley, Tim Ryan, Paul Barnes, Leo Fortune-West, Simon Marples, Neil Roberts, John McGrath and Jason Blunt. Doncaster Rovers, keen to take part in the fund raising initiative, have a blank weekend due to international fixtures. "We just want to help the Belles," said Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll. "As a club, the Rovers have seen lean times and we recognise we are in a position to help with this fundraiser. We have an International break that weekend so we've decided to play this one-off game with all proceeds going to the Belles." Tickets are available from the Keepmoat Stadium Ticket Office and Doncaster College for a price of £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s.
