Nottingham Forest are delighted to announce the capture of Blackburn Rovers forward Levi Penny.
The former Wolves, Crewe and Aston Villa striker joined Blackburn in January 2007, but decided to make the move to Forest after impressing manager Lisa Dawkins in the recent encounter between the two clubs.
An aggressive, direct and pacey player, who can operate through the middle or on either flank, Levi will add to Dawkins' attacking options as Forest search for their first win since promotion to the National Division.
Dawkins said: "I have been an admirer of Levi for the past couple of seasons and I am delighted that she has chosen Forest. The management team have been working hard to find the right players to add to the squad and we know that Levi brings different qualities and experience at this level."
New signing Penny added: "I enjoyed the season and a half I had at Blackburn but I am excited by the prospects of playing for Forest as they play the way I love to play football, which is with great passion, enthusiasm and determination. I am looking forward to the future I have at Forest."
Penny becomes Forest's fourth signing of the season, joining goalkeeper Clare Wallhead, defender Carla Tompkins and attacking midfielder Sam Griffiths.
Ahead of Sunday's away game to Everton, Dawkins added: "The players continue to have determination and a positive attitude and we are looking forward to seeing the results of this on Sunday against a team full of internationals."
