![]() Scotland started the game at the Rhein-Wied-Stadion brightly, competing well against a strong Norway side, and were unfortunate to find themselves 1-0 down within 24 minutes. However the team fought back into the game and when they were awarded a corner just before half time, Rebecca Zoltie was there to grab the equaliser. The second half began as the first had ended, with Scotland racing into the lead from yet another corner. This time it was Eilish McSorley who put her country in front just two minutes after the restart. Norway were always a threat, and it was yet another set piece which produced their equaliser less than ten minutes later, when a free kick was bulleted into the net from 35 yards. Scotland continued to press for the winner, and it was Emily Thomson who secured the result with 12 minutes left to play. Scotland Head Coach Ann-Helen Grahm told www.scottishfa.co.uk: "We played some great football against a team from one of the strongest footballing countries in the world. It was a good game overall and I was very pleased with the performance and the result."
