Luton Town made the switch across from the South West Combination during the summer and they have settled down quickly, taking the opening day honours with a 7-0 victory over Northampton Town.
Rebecca Kane led the scoring with a five-goal haul and she was joined on the scoresheet by Nickie Livingstone and Janine Daly.
Last season's runners-up Welwyn Garden City have started well this time around, running out 5-2 winners away to newly promoted Norwich City. Fay Rees netted twice, with one apiece from Naomi Lyon, Laveena Betts and Sophia Piotrowska.
Lewes made sure their long journey to Cambridge City was a happy one, returning home with a 4-2 victory thanks to Kerry Tagg (2), Kirstie Spice and Charlotte Bennett.

Honours were even as Gillingham and Bedford Town Bells finished level at 2-2. Lesley Anne Seaman gave Bedford the lead from the penalty spot before the Gills hit back with quick strikes from Kylie Overton and Les Kay, and the scoring was completed before half time as Alisha Pugh earned Bedford a share of the spoils.
Tottenham Hotspur's first ever game in the league following promotion saw them pick up a point as an evenly contested match with Whitehawk ended goalless.
