Female goalkeepers from Birmingham, the Black Country and Warwickshire can sharpen their skills by registering for a special coaching clinic being organised by Birmingham County FA this summer. Women over the age of 16 who are interested in goalkeeping can benefit from four hours of top coaching at Warwick University's Westwood Campus on Saturday 30th August. A limited number of places costing just £5 are available for the sessions which will focus on shot stopping, handling, throwing and kicking. "Casual and club goalkeepers are welcome to come along and take part," said BCFA Girls & Women's Development Officer, Grace Bunker who is co-ordinating the event. "Qualified Goalkeeper Coaches will be delivering the sessions, ensuring that no matter what standard you play at or experience you have, there will be something for everyone to take back to benefit their regular training programme," she added. "We want to help as many female goalkeepers feel fully prepared for the new season!" For more details or to reserve your place, visit www.birminghamfa.com or contact Grace via e-mail at grace.bunker@birminghamfa.com or on (0121) 357 4278 (option 2).
