Newcastle Girls Football Fundays
 Women's Football News 4 Apr 2008
Newcastle United WFC, in conjunction with the Northern Rock foundation and Newcastle City Council, will be holding a programme of Girls Football Fundays throughout the April half term holidays for players aged 8 to 12 years.
The venues are outdoors at the West Gate centre for Sport, Fenham, Wednesday 9 April, 10am until 1pm and Burnside CHS, Wallsend, indoors taking place on Tuesday 15 April from 10am until 1pm. The Fundays are FREE, but please note that places are limited.
Rob Atkin, Newcastle City Council Football Development Officer, said: "These Girls-only Fundays have been very popular over the past three years and they represent the first step onto the ladder of becoming a regular player. Many of our current FA Centre of Excellence squads got involved via this type of activity."
For more information on the Fundays, please contact Lisa Bell at the Newcastle Football Development Scheme on (07813) 751191 or e-mail lisa.bell@newcastle.gov.uk.
