Scotland under-17 face an Easter Sunday showdown to see if they will qualify for the inaugural UEFA Under-17 Championship Finals this summer after making a perfect start to their Second Qualifying Phase group matches.
They opened up the group with a 1-0 victory over Republic of Ireland in Perpignan. Although both sides had a goal disallowed, Emily Thomson of Motherwell settled matters with the only goal of the game in the 26th minute.
Scotland then followed this up by notching up an excellent 1-0 win against Norway. Once again Emily Thomson was their goal hero, giving her side the points with the winner in the dying minutes.
Therefore Scotland will take on group hosts France in their final match in Canet en Roussillon with both sides on maximum points, although the Scots will need a victory as France have a superior goal difference going into the match. Only the group winners will qualify for the Finals, which are being held in Nyon, Switzerland from 20-23 May.
