Scotland beaten in opener - 7 Mar 2008 - Women's Football NewsScotland's opening match in the Cyprus Cup ended in defeat as they were beaten 2-1 by the United States under-20 squad.
The match got off to an unfortunate start as the USA scored twice leading up to the half hour mark. Scotland fought back and Suzanne Grant grabbed a late goal to get them back into the game, however it was not enough to secure their first points in the tournament.
Scotland are next in action on Friday, when they take on Holland in their second match, before playing their final game next Wednesday against Canada.
