English Ladies Super Cup - 5 Mar 2008 - Women's Football NewsThe English Ladies Super Cup takes place in Nottingham on the weekend of the FA Women's Cup Final. 
This new two day tournament, which is part of the Team Tours Direct Tournaments Portfolio, takes place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th May prior to the Cup Final on Monday 5th May at the City Ground, home of Nottingham Forest FC.
The event takes place at Calverton Miners' Welfare FC which is an outstanding venue for the tournament and has excellent facilities and a fantastic Club House.
Joanne Moseley, the Senior Women's Event Co-ordinator explained: "This is a very exciting time for female football and we offer teams an excellent Bank Holiday package that results in winning superb trophies and the opportunity to watch the FA Cup Final from great seats."
Former Combined Services Manager and Umbro International Cup Co-ordinator, Joanne, continued, "Team Tours Direct aim to provide a truly high calibre tournament experience with comprehensive medical cover, sports injury clinic, excellent on-site catering facilities, superb action photography and a very good range of accommodation (Hotel, Premier Inn or Tented Village) with transfers to the venue."
Dave Plowright, the former Director of the Mansfield/Reebok Trophy and the Umbro International Cup added: "This weekend promises excellent fixture lists that cater for all abilities (minimum of four games) and a wide geographical spread of teams. The high level of refereeing and immaculate pitches at the top of the range venue will ensure a great tournament."
This year's classes will be Women's Open Age, Under-16s and Under-14s (11-a-side) and Under-12s and Under-10s (7-a-side). All games will be played on grass in the superb setting of Calverton Miners' Welfare FC and it is an excellent way to enjoy the tremendous atmosphere of the FA Women's Cup Weekend.
