WFC Fulham maintained their lead of eight points at the top of the Southern Division with a
6-1 victory away to Newquay.
Fulham got off to a flying start as Ann Marie Heatherson scored twice in the opening four minutes and, although Leanne Lapham pulled one back for the home side early in the second half, Katie McIntyre quickly restored the two-goal advantage. Sarah Banfield then netted a double before Heatherson completed her hat-trick in the dying minutes.
Barnet kept their title hopes alive by running out 5-1 winners over AFC Team Bath. Madeleine Hills opened the scoring in the ninth minute and Stacey Sowden added the second shortly before half time. Holly Miles reduced the arrears for Team Bath but Sowden completed her double before Charlotte Herson and Gemma Shepherd added further goals.
Brighton & Hove Albion remain just above the relegation zone after they went down to a 3-2 defeat at home to Colchester Utd. Kate Longhurst gave Colchester a fourth minute lead which was doubled by Rosee Golding, with Amy Found replying for the Seagulls ahead of the break. A Longhurst own goal levelled matters in the second half before Toni Smith gave the U's a victory which takes them into fifth place.
