Improving Charlton double their tally
 Women's Football News 11 Feb 2008
Charlton Athletic claimed only their second point of the season when sharing a 1-1 draw with Doncaster Rovers Belles in the National Division.
The Addicks took a first half lead through Daniella Farmer and a second half own goal from Toni-Anne Wayne earned Doncaster a share of the spoils. Following a run of defeats after their troubled summer, Charlton are now unbeaten in their last two league matches.
Meanwhile it was business as usual for Arsenal at the other end of the table as they defeated Liverpool 5-2 to open up a lead of four points. Lianne Sanderson's early goal was cancelled out by Chantelle Parry but Sanderson struck again to send Arsenal into half time with the lead. Rachel Yankey's cross-cum-shot extended the Gunners' advantage and Julie Fleeting scored with a spectacular shot on the turn. Faye McCoy pulled a goal back for Liverpool when nodding home a free kick but Fleeting swiftly replied by heading in Arsenal's fifth goal.
