The Dorset County FA are looking to increase the number of females coaches involved in the National game and also help raise standards throughout the County.
To support this two coaching Courses have been organised in forthcoming months and are open specifically for female coaches.
The first Course scheduled is the 1st4 Sport Level 1 Coaching Course; the Level 1 is an excellent introduction to the coaching process and is open to female coaches who are looking to enhance their coaching and organisation skills. The Course will run in Dorchester on the following dates: 15, 17, 22 (evening sessions), 26 April (day session) and 3 May (day session).
In addition to this the 1st4 Sport Level 2 Coaching Course has been organised in-conjunction with Hampshire FA and is specifically for female coaches looking to 'step up' to the next level. This Course will include delivery of linked sessions, from technique skill to small sided games. This Course is being run in Bournemouth on 31 May, 7, 8, 14, 15 June, 3 August, 7 September with the final assessment scheduled for the 27 and 28 September 2008.
To support the above, Dorset FA is thrilled to announce that FA Regional Coach Development Manager Julie Chipchase will be visiting the County in February and delivering a workshop open to female coaches.
The session will take place on Wednesday 20 February 2008, at Purbeck Sports Centre, Wareham and will commence 6.30pm-8pm. The evening will be mainly practically based with the main outcome being an insight to the 1st4 Sport Level 2 Coaching Course.
