Northern Division table toppers Nottingham Forest have enhanced their squad further with the signing of defender Ellie Gilliatt from local rivals Lincoln City.
19-year-old Ellie has had a relative illustrious cv after playing for Doncaster Belles, Blackburn and recently to Lincoln. Gilliatt has a good pedigree and is looking to use Forest as a way forward for development.
She says: "Basically I'm wanting to get back playing at the highest standard of football that is possible. I feel that Forest is my way forward to hopefully getting back in the international set up. I know that playing alongside the players at Forest and working alongside the staff will improve me considerably as a player and as an individual. I am looking forward to the new challenges at Forest and I'm sure as a team we can be playing Premiership football next season."
Forest Chairperson P.J Andrews added: "It's a credit to the management team to attract and pursue players like Ellie who can add a different dimension to the squad. This season the depth and strength of Lisa's (Dawkins) squad is really showing benefit and they have a real chance to get their rewards.
"There is still a fair way to go in the season and with injuries and absence it is essential to have individual quality in the squad but whom also retain a committed team ethic. Ellie is very welcome at Forest and I'm sure she will enjoy her time, let alone develop as an individual and team player under Lisa and Andy's guidance and coaching."
