Claire joins Newcastle ranks - 22 Jan 2008 - Women's Football NewsMidfielder Claire Pitt from Blyth is the latest from the youth section to sign open age forms with Newcastle United following some excellent performances for their Under-16 Sunday team.
Claire is in her first season with Newcastle, having previously played for Blyth Town. She can operate on the left or in central midfield.
Rob Atkin, Newcastle Head Coach, said: "We have some very good players coming through from our under-16s and Claire is another one who has impressed. She has excellent technique and awareness and has the potential to play at the top level. We need to make sure we manage her introduction into the Premier League via the reserve section."
Claire will wear number 31 and joins Natalie Henderson, Stephanie and Sarah Eadon who have all recently made the step up into the senior squad.
