Leyton Orient to host League Cup Final
 Women's Football News 21 Jan 2008
Leyton Orient to host League Cup Final - 21 Jan 2008 - Women's Football NewsLeague One promotion chasers Leyton Orient will host the first Final of the women's football season at their 9,271 capacity Matchroom Stadium, the FA Tesco Women's Premier League Cup Final, on Thursday 28 February. Kick off is at 7.35pm and the game will be live on Sky Sports.
The task for Everton is to defeat Vic Akers' Arsenal who are unbeaten domestically since 5 March 2006, when Charlton Athletic defeated the Gunners in the same competition final, 2-1 at Wycombe Wanderers.
Football supporters in the capital could potentially witness 14 of England's World Cup squad in action, guaranteeing some of the very biggest names in women's football.
For Arsenal skipper Faye White and Everton Head Coach Mo Marley, Leyton Orient may stir some distant memories. In September 2000, England's Women defeated Finland 2-1 in East London, with White coming on as a substitute for Marley. Everton's Becky Easton and Rachel Unitt also featured that day, as did Arsenal winger Rachel Yankey and Katie Chapman.
In 2002, Leyton Orient hosted the FA Women's Community Shield in which Fulham won on penalties against Arsenal.
Arsenal's name has appeared on the trophy nine times since the competition's inception in 1992-93, whilst Everton have reached two finals, losing in 1996-97 to Millwall, and in 1998-99 to Arsenal.
Peter Hough, Chairman of The FA Women's Premier League, said: "After Scunthorpe United hosted last year's final and saw a record crowd of 3,688, we're hoping that Leyton Orient, a club with promotion ambitions, a recently modernised stadium and strong community links will attract football fans from across the capital.
"Once more, tickets prices have been set to attract in particular junior teams, schools, families and community groups."
Tickets are available now priced £5 for Adults and £2.50 for concessions by contacting Leyton Orients's ticket office on 0871 310 1883 or log on to: www.leytonorient.com

There are special group rates available for groups of 15 people or more, priced at £3 Adults and £2 for children under-16. Booking forms are available at www.TheFA.com.
