Lincoln City defeated Preston North End 3-0 and are now a single point behind Northern Division leaders Nottingham Forest.
Megan Harris gave Lincoln the lead after twenty minutes and Jodie Snelson (pictured) doubled their advantage before half time, with her 20th goal of the season. With five minutes remaining, Stacey Aisthorpe completed the scoring for Lincoln to avenge their defeat at the hands of Preston earlier in the season.
Manchester City climbed into the top half of the table, thanks to a 3-0 local derby victory over Stockport County. City went into the break a goal ahead after Shelley James fired a shot into the roof of the Stockport net, shortly before the interval. City went further ahead on 57 minutes when Katie Brussell hit a powerful free kick from outside the area which flew high into the top corner of the goal, which gave County keeper Andria Worrall no chance. The third and final goal came late into the match, when Keeleigh Savage broke through the County defence and hit a low powerful shot into the corner to score her 10th of the season in her first start for City against her old club.
