Arsenal will play Everton in this season's League Cup Final after their semi final victories on Sunday.
Holders Arsenal swept into their ninth Final in eleven years with a 4-0 victory over Liverpool. The Gunners never looked back after Jayne Ludlow put them ahead after eight minutes and Lianne Sanderson added the second shortly before half time. Rachel Yankey increased their lead midway through the second half and Yvonne Tracey completed the win with a late goal.
Everton meanwhile made it through to their first Final since 1999 but were pushed all the way by Watford before emerging as 2-1 winners after extra time. Jill Scott opened the scoring for the Toffees midway through the first half and Natasha Dowie also had a goal disallowed but Watford, playing in their first ever major semi final, fought back to level the scores after the break when Emma Beckett netted from close range.
As the game went into extra time, Everton could have gone back in front but Rachel Unitt's penalty was saved by Marie Hourihan. As the game headed towards a penalty shootout, Everton struck a killer blow in the final minute of extra time as substitute Toni Duggan scored a superb individual goal to seal victory.
