Arsenal continue to close in on the leading sides and are in third place after beating Everton 2-0.
In the clash between the two unbeaten sides, the first half ended goalless but Arsenal broke the deadlock just before the hour mark with a goal from Lianne Sanderson. Katie Chapman then headed in the second which means that the Gunners are now five points behind leaders Bristol Academy, whose match was postponed.
Second placed Watford were pegged back to a 2-2 draw by Doncaster Rovers Belles despite getting off to a flying start. Emma Thomas netted twice in the opening fourteen minutes before Liz Hanson pulled one back for the Belles shortly before the break, and a second half penalty from Vicky Exley ensured a share of the spoils.
Blackburn Rovers bounced back from two defeats to run out 5-0 winners over Charlton Athletic. A Donna Kelynack own goal separated the teams at half time with Katie Anderton adding the second from the penalty spot, early after the restart. Karen Burke and Jenna Carroll added further goals before Anderton completed the scoring with her second in the dying minutes.
Honours were even as Liverpool and Chelsea battled out a goalless draw which leaves both teams level on points in the middle of the table.
