With their two nearest rivals not playing, WFC Fulham took the chance to extend their lead to nine points in the Southern Division with a 1-0 win away to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The only goal of the game came in the fourth minute, Leah Jones netting from the penalty spot.
Millwall Lionesses meanwhile closed in on the top three by winning 2-0 at AFC Team Bath. After a goalless first half, Chinwe Osuji gave Millwall the lead on the hour mark and Laura Smith added the second goal.
Beth Curtis scored a hat-trick as Crystal Palace scored twelve without reply against Reading Royals. Kenne Ogunneye, Sharna Longville and Claire Williams each added doubles with one apiece from Jen Poole, Laura East and Rhea MacKennon.
Two late goals gave Colchester Utd their fifth away victory in a row, 3-1 against injury hit Keynsham Town. Leesa Haydock put the U's in front, early in the second half with Andreea Alexandru heading Keynsham level. In the dying minutes, Helen Bass and Toni Smith both struck to give Colchester three precious points.
