New sponsorship deal for Albion
 Women's Football News 14 Nov 2007
West Bromwich Albion WFC are delighted to announce Lift & Engineering Services Limited as their new official club sponsor.
The investment of £10,000 from Lift & Engineering has been doubled to £20,000 thanks to the government's Sportsmatch business incentive scheme.
The sponsorship deal, which will run until the end of the 2008-09 season, is the first in the club's short history - and complements the parent club's recent investment into girls and women's football.
Lift & Engineering are no strangers to The Hawthorns with life-long Albion fans Dave & Wayne Haywood as Directors.
As a leading company in their field, the company, like the Baggies does significant work already in and around the Black Country community.
Lift & Engineering's brand will be on the shirts of both the first team and reserves, as well as all four junior teams from under-tens through to under-16s and on the newly designed club website www.wbawfc.co.uk.
With the women's club now fully integrated into the parent club via the responsibility of the community programme's Charitable Trust, Albion are hoping to make significant progress at junior level as well as through the first team.
Chris Holloway's side have started off the season well and are currently league leaders in the Midland Combination. They have also progressed to the Third Round of the F.A.Women's Cup after a 2-1 victory over Loughborough Students.
Women's FC Chairman and Trustee of the community programme Brendon Batson said: "Having Lift & Engineering Services Limited on board for two years is great news for everyone connected with the club.
"Like all community programme activities, investment from both the private and public sector is vital to the clubs successful work at the grassroots of the local community.
"With no current FA investment into the club for women and girls, the generous support of Lift & Engineering, complemented by Sportsmatch, will allow us to invest into all areas of junior and senior football at the club.
"With the first team starting the season well, our long term aim is to develop local girls through our junior teams with the ultimate aim of them progressing into the club's senior team.
"With the significant generosity of both organisations, coupled with the parent club's recent investment, we now have an opportunity to do this."
Lift & Engineering Managing Director Dave Haywood added: "Lift & Engineering Services Limited are delighted and proud to be the first official sponsors of West Bromwich Albion Women's FC."
"We recognize the significant work Albion deliver in the local community and the national reputation it has gained."
"A majority of Lift & Engineering's work is at the very heart of this same community and we realise with this investment and the fantastic support of Sportmatch, we will be providing many young girls with a fantastic opportunity to represent the Baggies in the famous blue and white stripes in the future."
Lift & Engineering Services Limited are based in Cradley Heath, West Midlands and designs, manufactures, installs, maintains, repairs and services all types of goods and passenger lifts and lift components.
