Newquay land plum draw...?
 Women's Football News 2 Oct 2007
Premier League newcomers Newquay may well have landed the plum draw in the Second Round of the Premier League Cup.
The Cornish side will be at home to holders Arsenal, provided the Gunners win their delayed First Round tie away to Cardiff City this coming Sunday.
Colchester Utd also face National Division opposition in either Liverpool or Leeds Utd, whilst Everton have been drawn away to West Ham Utd. Chelsea have not been handed the easiest draws, against Northern Division high fliers Lincoln City whilst Southern Division leaders Portsmouth go to Birmingham City.
There are two all-National Division ties in the draw - Watford play host to Doncaster Rovers Belles whilst Blackburn Rovers take on Bristol Academy. Preston North End have been paired with Sunderland, guaranteeing at least one Northern Division side in the quarter finals.
The ties will be played on Sunday 14 October but those involving Arsenal - if they get through - and Everton will take place the following week due to UEFA Women's Cup commitments. The draw:
Watford v Doncaster Rovers Belles
Blackburn Rovers v Bristol Academy
Preston North End v Sunderland
Colchester United v Liverpool or Leeds United
Birmingham City v Portsmouth
Chelsea v Lincoln City
West Ham United v Everton
Newquay v Cardiff City or Arsenal
