Scotland under-17 earned themselves a highly creditable 0-0 draw with Sweden on Wednesday night at McDiarmid Park, watched on by a well attended crowd of Scotland fans.
The Swedish side inflicted most of the pressure on in the first half with several chances of goal, however the Scots played well defensively and Scotland goal keeper Alannah Chatham ensured that nothing got past her.
The second half saw the Scots pushing forward in attack and Scotland had several excellent chances of goal, most notable was an injury time effort by Kim Borthwick from 30 yards, skimming the bar.
The match was part of both teams' preparations for the first ever UEFA Under-17 Championship competition. Scotland have been drawn with Northern Ireland, Hungary and hosts Croatia. (www.scottishfa.co.uk)
