Hibs knock out holders
 Women's Football News 22 Aug 2007
Hibs knock out holders - 22 Aug 2007Hibernian produced a devastating comeback to knock out SWPL Cup holders Edinburgh Ladies as six second half goals swept them to a 7-2 victory.
In a repeat of last season's Final, Edinburgh looked as though they might be on their way to another victory as Louise Young and Debbie McWhinnie gave them a two goal lead. However, Kim Little pulled one back shortly before half time and, after the break, the young striker went on to complete a hat-trick with Shelley Kerr adding a double, Pauline Hamill and Suzanne Grant were also on target.
Also through to the quarter finals are Glasgow City, who scored seven without reply away to Raith Rovers. Jane Ross led the scoring with a hat-trick, Suzanne Lappin weighed in with a double and there was a goal apiece from Ruesha Littlejohn and Katharina Lindner.
The other two scheduled First Round ties were both postponed because of waterlogged pitches.
