Letchworth-based Eden Bridge Toyota were at Welwyn Garden City Ladies pre-season friendly match on Sunday against Watford Rese to promote their sponsorship of the newly re-named side's kit for the forthcoming season.
Formerly Langford, WGC welcomed the Toyota company as the first major sponsor of the side which plays its games at Herns Way.
Paul Parsons and Andy Gore of Eden Bridge were pleased to be providing the kits and promoting women's football. Helen Greenslade, Chairperson of Welwyn Garden City, said that the team were extremely grateful for the two kits as part of the sponsorship.
Watford ran out eventual winners in a competitive match dominated by both sides' defences, the only goal coming five mins before the break with a good finish following a cross from WGC's left hand side. Some eye catching performances from several newcomers in the Citizens squad give cause for optimism as the team prepare for the South East Combination league season, which starts in three weeks time.
