WFC Fulham attract more sponsorships
 Women's Football News 26 Jul 2007
After having battled through a difficult season on and off the pitch, a reinvigorated Fulham are approaching the new campaign with renewed confidence.

In order to distance themselves from the men's outfit which decided to withdraw all contact with the senior women's teams last season, Fulham Women's FC have decided to re-name the club WFC Fulham from this season.

The club felt the move would enhance the club's status as a stand alone independent organisation, in line with the general direction the ladies game is going in.

The club would also like to announce that it has acquired the funding of a full kit sponsor in Seymour Taylor, Chartered Accountants for the 2007-08 season.
The club has also secured a second large sponsorship for full funding with Target Vehicle Hire of Slough, for all their first and reserve XI away fixtures throughout the season.

Director of Football Fred Brockwell commented: "The club has come on in leaps and bounds this season, with these two large sponsorships putting the icing on the cake. This, coming after the most successful pre-season training sessions I have ever come across in my many years in the women's game.

"With over ninety players attending our trials, we had to extend them to three sessions a week throughout July to give everyone a fair chance. It's been a mammoth task because of the unprecedented numbers.

"We feel our progress in acquiring our top class facilities that can be seen on our website www.fulhamwfc.com has helped draw the interest to this level. It is something the officers have made every effort to acquire through extensive hard work. This is now bringing its own rewards with several quality players already signed with others joining the sessions over the next week."
