Millwall Lionesses started their pre-season training by taking a squad of girls to Wattisham Army Camp near Ipswich.
The squad spent the weekend combining pre-season training with a selection of Army team building activities.
Living in the Sgt & Warrant Officers Mess was a real eye opener for the girls. The accommodation was good and the menu that was specially created was excellent.
The squad worked very hard under the watchful eye of Millwall's head coach Jim Hicks and Sgt 'Trev' Spearits of the Army Physical Training Corps.
The tasks were varied and involved a session in the pool followed by a session of trust building that involved blindfolding members of the squad. This culminated with every member falling backwards of a high box into the waiting arms of their teammates.
The Sunday saw a session that covered diet, highlighting aims and goals for the season, followed by a very hard physical session. The day culminated with each player finding a partner and scaling the climbing wall.
Although the weekend was a hard one, the benefits have been great and the squad have moved on to form good working relationships that will undoubtedly help the Lionesses for the coming season.
