As part of the Newcastle Football Development Scheme's twentieth year celebrations, Newcastle United will host Glasgow Celtic Ladies first team and reserves on Sunday 29 July, with a 2pm kick off.
The fixtures will take place at the Magpies' new magnificent facilities at Coach Lane development centre, Northumbria University.
Rob Atkin, Newcastle Head Coach, said: "The link between the football teams of Glasgow and Newcastle has always been very strong over many years built on mutual respect. We are very pleased to welcome the recently formed Celtic Ladies to help celebrate twenty years of football development in Newcastle upon Tyne.
"Celtic have made a determined move into female football with the formation of their own girls' football academies and we look foward to building up a positive relationship over the coming years."
As part of the first ever Newcastle United v Celtic Ladies fixture, there will be free entry to everyone under the age of sixteen with the opportunity to win one of twenty free places on the popular Girls Summer Soccerweek run by Newcastle City Council's football development scheme.
